Red 7 running count — Hi-Lo plus red sevens only

Red 7 is Snyder’s unbalanced cousin of Hi-Lo: every tag matches Hi-Lo except sevens, which are +1 if red and 0 if black. That extra half-plus per deck (half the sevens) unbalances the count so you can bet off the running count. Anvil Table starts at −2 × decks and treats the ramp as a step around the pivot rather than Hi-Lo’s true-count slope. Because colour matters, the trainer’s seven key splits into red and black when Red 7 is on.

Unbalanced: bet from the running count. Do not divide by decks remaining. Initial running count: −2 × decks (six decks start at −12). Insurance default in Anvil Table: Running count at the Red 7 top/pivot (a step, not a slope).

Why you would pick Red 7 over Hi-Lo

Same ranks except red sevens. You drop true-count division and pick up a colour distinction.

You know Hi-Lo and want an unbalanced count without tagging every seven.

Weaknesses

You must see the colour of sevens. On a felt photo or a noisy stream that is harder than rank-only systems. The bet is a step, not a smooth ramp.

FAQ

Do I count black sevens in Red 7?

No. Black sevens are 0. Only red sevens are +1. That is the whole difference from Hi-Lo’s tags.
